Nankaihanten Honten

This is a very popular Chinese restaurant located on the first floor of Hai Hai Town that has been in business for over 60 years. This is the main store, and there seems to be a branch in Tottori as well. Visited again on Monday, a weekday. There was only one seat left at the counter, and two empty round tables. The newly renovated and beautiful interior has the same table layout as before, and is a wonderful long-established restaurant with a steady stream of customers. With a total of about 50 seats at the counter and tables, the restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate both solo customers and groups. I ordered the famous jumbo gyoza (4 pieces) for 330 yen + ramen (soy sauce) for 800 yen + fried rice for 850 yen. The soy sauce ramen is a very delicious soy sauce soup that is rich in the flavor of a rich seafood soup stock, and the straight noodles with extra fine elasticity go perfectly together. The homemade char siu was so delicious that I thought I'd add it as a separate item, and it's so rich that I want to take it home. Add some pepper to the soup halfway through, and add some flavor to the dried sardines and soy sauce with pepper spices. It was so delicious that I ascended to heaven. The fried rice is moist fried rice with about 3 to 4 plump shrimp, and the seasoning is just right, making it the perfect accompaniment to soy sauce ramen. The famous jumbo dumplings are about 1.5 times the regular size, but they contain only a modest amount of gyoza filling and plenty of vegetables such as chives and cabbage, making them easier to eat than they look. If you are confused about the menu at first glance, we recommend ordering the golden set of ramen, fried rice, and gyoza.

I've been wanting to eat at this restaurant ever since it opened next to the Education Hall. The staff is efficient and it feels like a Chinese restaurant in town. 2023.12 I came here for lunch for the first time in a while after the renovation. I ordered the usual fried noodles, gyoza, mapo tofu, and fried chicken beer. that! ? It's tasteless! ? It was like this! ? I've been going to Chinese restaurants around town a lot lately, so I guess my standards have changed! ? The store was clean and full of customers, but I was a little disappointed. The cost performance was good, but I felt like they needed a little more effort compared to other stores.
